Verdict

The Model T is the right choice if open source verification and Shamir Backup are non-negotiable for you. The touchscreen is a genuine UX improvement over button navigation. However, at $219 it is hard to justify over the Trezor Safe 3 unless you specifically need Shamir key splitting or the colour touchscreen.
