Hardware Requirements

A Seeker node runs on any always-on device with a stable internet connection. The recommended setup is a Raspberry Pi 4 (4 GB RAM) or a low-power mini PC. You'll need a GPS antenna or rely on IP-based location — GPS gives significantly better coverage scores.

TIP

A wired Ethernet connection is preferred over Wi-Fi for uptime reliability.

02

Download & Install the Software

Head to the official Seeker network site and download the node client for your operating system. On Linux/Raspberry Pi, use the provided install script. On Windows, run the installer and follow the prompts. The client handles wallet creation, staking deposit, and coverage beacon automatically.

03

Register Your Node

After installation, open the Seeker dashboard and connect your wallet. You'll need a small amount of SKR to activate your node (the staking requirement varies — check the current network parameters). Once staked, your node ID is registered on-chain.

TIP

Use a dedicated wallet for your node — never the same wallet as your main holdings.

04

Optimize Coverage

Coverage score determines your reward multiplier. Place your node near a window with an unobstructed view of the sky if using GPS. Avoid basements and metal enclosures. The Seeker coverage map shows hexagonal zones — aim to be the only node in your hex for maximum rewards.

TIP

Check the coverage map before setting up to find underserved areas near you.

05

Monitor & Maintain

Uptime is everything. Set your node to start automatically on boot. Monitor your dashboard weekly for coverage score changes, software updates, and reward claims. Unclaimed rewards expire after 90 days on some network versions — set a reminder.
